40k children/yr with severe scoliosis require surgery (US). Auctus's flexible tether is surgically implanted on the side of the child's spine to straighten it. 1 tether end is attached to an implanted magnetic adjuster. The device does not limit the spine's ability to bend and twist. The surgeon can use a hand-held magnetic controller to lengthen it as the child grows. We sell to the hospital for surgeries on recommendation of the surgeon.
